EVANESCENCE "evanescence" cd,2011.

the band's fifth album and only one i own(Dani has their previous effort)...
typical Evanescence sounds here...strong heavy rock numbers and a couple of beautiful haunting ballads thrown in the mix...
love the singer's vocals, so strong yet fragile at times...
not sure if this one is good,bad or indifferent from their other albums but i like it anyway...
nothing great on here, nothing terrible neither, just a consistant album with all tracks scoring a "like" rating, obviously, that means the album gets a score of 2.0...

I know there's a dedicated thread for Concerts but I can't find it fast enough so I went to see two prog rock metal bands Tuesday night! From Sweden Katatonia and the music giants OPETH! Needless to say I thoroughly enjoyed the gig especially one of my favorite bands of all ...OPETH !...and not much growly singing either!...just very intelligent music by a very talented band...Katatonia aren't bad either!

Crazy mate , if you like Evanescence, you must try the band LACUNA COIL !!!!!!...the originator's of this form of metal rock.

The Blood of the Eyes by Esoteric. This is quite possibly one of the most moving pieces of music I've ever heard.

Acid Bath (typical metal band name ...he he he ) - Paegan Terrorism Tactics album from 1996 ...Band hails from Louisiana, I like this band because they combine black metal with rock, folk and blues with clean vocals and melodies. . Heavy use of the doom tone invented by Tony Iommi....Black Sabbathish sounding in a lot of places.
