the experts call it horror...
i call it post-apocalyptic thriller/suspense
stars Sandra Bullock, John Malkovich, Jacki Weaver and rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
premise:
end of the world is nigh,
malevolent species invades earth
people have to wear blindfolds so they don't see them.
those that do end up going crazy and killing people. (not in a zombie way).
only way to know is someone infected is nearby is with canaries who sense them.
blah blah blah...

i dont watch much "reality tv" but I do like these two food shows:
Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restaurant:_Impossible
and Kitchen Takeover (host Isaac Toups) but theres no Wiki on it.
both shows have the hosts and their teams go in and assist flailing restaurants with their menu's and in store service.

2018 Netflix British thriller-cum-horror thriller
storyline:
It's Christmas Day and the Milgram family wake to find a mysterious black substance surrounding their house. Something monumental is clearly happening right outside their door, but what exactly - an industrial accident, a terrorist attack, nuclear war? Descending into terrified arguments, they turn on the television, desperate for any information. On screen a message glows ominously: 'Stay Indoors and Await Further Instructions'. As the television exerts an ever more sinister grip, their paranoia escalates into bloody carnage.
==========================================
nobody does 'edge of your seat suspense' like the British and this is as good as it gets.
paranoia, suspicion, people turning on each other.
the tension builds right to the end.

eight, one hour long episodes of the David Attenborough series about the oceans and the life
that lives there.
superb photography/video and of course the excellent commentary by Sir David Attenborough.
if you have the slightest interest in nature, the oceans or just world class imagery then you need to watch this series.

bio-doco about Taylor Swift.
from childhood to super stardom.
mainly candid comments from home video,
some studio footage, some concert footage.
shows her at home with friends cooking,
being with her cats,
writing in the studio with her producer.
her feelings about fame/fortune and just being Taylor at home
and of course, the whole Kanye BS when she won her first VMA.
very good, worth watching 4/5

David Bowie: Finding Fame - a doccie focusing on the years up to Ziggy Stardust and Bowie's missteps along the way. Interesting to know about those earlier years when he was finding out about himself. He made some huge errors in judgement but just ploughed on, reinventing himself. He was never going to have a humdrum existence, no matter what, and several times mentions the need to escape, to get out of suburbia - he had an absolute horror of leading a small, banal life. Well - he didn't did he? A single-minded individual, largely shaped by his very early years, as are we all.
