THE TOP TEN:

10. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (Down 1/65 weeks in chart)
9. Lose Control – Teddy Swims (Down 2/88 weeks in chart)
8. I Ain't Coming Back – Morgan Wallen/Post Malone (NEW)
7. I'm The Problem – Morgan Wallen (Up 3/12 weeks in chart)
6. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (Down 2/45 Weeks in Chart)
5. A Bar Song (Tipsy) – Shaboozey (Up 1/54 weeks in chart)
4. Nokia – Drake (Down 1/10 weeks in chart)
3. Ordinary – Alex Warren (Up 2/NEW PEAK/11 weeks in chart)
2. Die With A Smile – Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (No Change/36 Weeks in Chart)
1. Luther – Kendrick Lamar/SZA (No Change/10th consecutive week number one/22nd week in the chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

98. House Again – Hudson Westbrook (3/10)

Having to describe these insanely tedious American country songs over and over after the Billboard chart shoves them in our faces is insane. From now on, any basic guitar, country song that I've described a million times is just getting a low rating. I'm not putting up with this anymore.

96. Actin Up – Tommy Richman (7/10)

This most likely only charted due to the Sexyy Red remix, but I'll only rate the original. It has that old-school funky hip-hop sound that is what Tommy works well on; it's better than 'Million Dollar Baby' and 'Devil Is A Lie' by far. Sure, it's similar to them, but Tommy's fun essence comes out a lot more on this. What we didn't need was a Sexyy Red remix, though.

95. Party 4 U – Charli XCX (2/10)

Why is she back AGAIN? And how can people stand minutes of autotuned, repetitive, easily made dance music? It's worse than generic, and it's pretty disturbing how people can find a song at the level of AI anything interesting. Let's hope the resurfacing of the track from 'How I'm Feeling Now' disappears because we don't need this.

92. Whim Whamiee – PLUTO/YKNIECE (0/10)

From the title and cover, I expected this to be a one out of ten song, and it was somehow even worse than that expectation. It's gangsta rap that sounds like a mix of Sexyy Red and Bhad Bhabie, as the lead vocals are more irritating than scraping your fingernails on metal. Think of it as a rich gangsta lady with pounds of makeup starting to whine on a song. I don't get how in a million years anything like this ends up charting or reaching public notice; this is diabolical and is easily one of the worst rap songs I've heard in my time alive.

91. Forever To Me – Cole Swindell (5/10)

This is about a Christian country song about a boy meeting up with a country girl, as a love song. It uses guitar and drums to really bring out the forgettable American country sound. I'm not denying that there's emotion here, but damn, it isn't built on well – low effort.

87. Headphones On – Addison Rae (4/10)

Yay! Yet another female pop act who fails to impress no matter what they release; that's another added to my list of the ones I dislike. I've never been a fan of Addison and wasn't expecting anything good out of this, especially seeing she's been on an insane streak of bad, but this is actually better than her usual; 4/10 is an improvement... but overall this is still just some forgettable pop song.

78. Steve's Lava Chicken - Jack Black (5/10)

You've got to be kidding me… a 34-second song of Jack Black singing about Minecraft's Lava Chicken. I knew the movie had a huge first-week breakthrough, but it didn't really bring anything good out of it apart from brain rot, like this. This is like the time 'Man In Finance' charted last year. I'm not even going to take this seriously; it's guitar rock with Jack Black saying words in the strange ways he does. Let's just hope this randomness leaves the chart.

72. You're Ways Better – Forrest Frank (4/10)

Oh boy, does this have to be the guy who makes Christian music go viral again? We could at least try to switch up the genre better to accompany more unknown sounds and mix things up, but this is straight up just a social media song where the vocal holds on "together" & "head" and other words make it sound unnecessarily annoying.

71. Happens To Me – Russell Dickenson (4.9/10)

Reminds me of that really cringe country song which charted last year (I've forgotten the name of it). This is country combined with modern pop elements to make a more upbeat guitar song which doesn't just focus on the guitar to control the melody; it feels like the production has a lot of layers going on, but all just feel like they equal a really dull song that's a bad attempt to go mainstream.

8. I Ain't Coming Back – Morgan Wallen/Post Malone (7/10)

After hearing this and finding out Tate McRae is on the album – I'm hyped! This legit might be a good album... but I'm still scared about there being 37 songs on it. This is a classic country song with a more pop radio hook, which is a good follow-up from the 'I Had Some Help' collab. Post delivered a good verse alongside Morgan, but Morgan did better. The use of drums added to the instrumental effect, which I quite enjoyed.

THE TOP TEN:

10. Anxiety – Doechii (Up 2/NEW PEAK/8 Weeks in chart)
9. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (Up 1/66 weeks in chart)
8. I'm The Problem – Morgan Wallen (Down 1/13 weeks in chart)
7. Lose Control – Teddy Swims (Up 2/89 weeks in chart)
6. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (No Change/46 weeks in chart)

4. Nokia – Drake (No Change/11 weeks in chart)
3. Die With A Smile – Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (Down 1/37 weeks in chart)
2. Ordinary – Alex Warren (Up 1/NEW PEAK/12 weeks in chart)
1. Luther – Kendrick Lamar/SZA (No Change/11 Consecutive Weeks Number One/23 Weeks in Chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

99. Ribs – Lorde (8.5/10)

I actually heard this for the first time a few weeks ago, before it hit the charts. Part of her debut album 'Pure Heroine', 'Ribs' is considered her best song by many, and as much as it's good, with the message about getting older displayed in a deep ambient, alt/art pop way with Lorde providing a voice that lures you deeper into the fascinating, slow-moving production, it's still not her best song, at least to me. I was actually planning on reviewing 'Pure Heroine' on AOTY much before this charted, which is what makes this even more of a coincidence!

97. 3,2,1 - Tucker Wetmore (6.2/10)

There are rare cases when I enjoy a country song that sounds like any other on American radio; this is one of them. It's actually giving me those chill Western vibes.

79. My World – Chuckyy (3/10)

The intro to this song felt slightly out of this world, as if you were about to float, like a build-up to something amazing… and then Chuckyy's vocals came in and are easily some of the worst vocals you'll hear in a while; the beat lowers, and then Chuckyy's raspy and emotionless voice (as emotionless as a robot) gave the plainest and most boring performance for minutes straight until the song ends… what a joke.

77. Amen – Shaboozey/Jelly Roll (8/10)

Rare Jelly Roll is a good song! I mean, Shaboozey most likely made this happen, but to see an actual improvement from Jelly Roll is nice. The guitar and claps, along with the hold on "Amen", create a good flow and a good hook, catchy country.

63. After All The Bars Are Closed – Thomas Rhett (4/10)

Thomas Rhett continues to pump out his same uninspired country music that uses the same formula as most of the low-charting HOT 100 country songs; can he do anything else? Probably not.

47. Damocles – Sleep Token (3/10)

Really tedious with poor vocals, a simple rock pattern and some piano. Sad that this will probably get traction.

40. Mystical Magical - Benson Boone (7/10)

A step up from 'Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else', this has a melody resembling 'Physical', which is shown more in the chorus. Benson gives a tune which makes you want to dance, but in an elegant way; it's Benson's usual, but it feels like it has more class to it.

39. Money On Money – Young Thug/Future (7.8/10)

I must admit that I've gotten bored of Future, as many think so too. But this was a big improvement; the song had a more energised feeling with some beat bars that reminded me of the 'Fein' intro but lower in pitch.

36. What Was That – Lorde (4.8/10)

I've always found her voice partly annoying, but I think it shows a lot more on this.

Alt-pop, which showcases that Lorde's album may not be as good as we think.

THE TOP TEN:

10. I'm The Problem – Morgan Wallen (Down 2/14 weeks in chart)
9. Anxiety – Doechii (Up 1/NEW PEAK/9 weeks in chart)
8. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (Up 1/67 weeks in chart)

2. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No change/13 weeks in chart)
1. Luther – Kendrick Lamar/SZA (12th consecutive week 1/24 weeks on the chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

95. Me prometi – Ivan Cornejo (7/10)

Slow Latino that uses a deeper voice that holds onto a non-traditional Latino beat that actually is a refresh from the usual Latino you always hear. The drums and guitar hidden in more cleverly inputted sounds work well to give it the appeal of deep pop songs that could appeal to the Western side.

92. Gnarly – KATSEYE (1.5/10)

This sounds like something a cringe but pretty TikTok girl would dance to in the late 2010s who does nothing but dance. The vocals on this use an over-exaggerated fake strong accent that sounds like the typical "periodddd slayyy" accent; there's no way they thought a hyperpop with cuts worse than Skibidi Phonk would appeal.

89. Old Phone – Ed Sheeran (4.5/10)

Ed Sheeran is just making the exact same music he made before but worse. 'Old Phone' is about Ed looking through his old phone and seeing his old memories. Ed believes they should be left in the past. The song uses a basic guitar and vocal melody that has a higher sound but is still a sad song; it feels too basic for me to enjoy and once again sends the album in a worse direction.

79. Thought It Was Love – Ty Myers (3.9/10)

You're either going to be wowed away by the romantic-like beat with the guitars and soft landing, or you're going to think it's a typical American country song that'll only appeal to the American country radio stans. I'm with the second one; Ty can be ok, but he's known for just being overly simple and not adding much or any substance to his music.

76. Priceless – Maroon 5/LISA (2.5/10)

This just made me mad; it's a flimsy love pop song, which Maroon 5 and LISA gave no energy to whatsoever. I know that LISA is trying to chase the bag, but this is just straight-up take all, give nothing. Uninteresting, no build-up and a song that leads you nowhere; even the music video was straight-up slop too.

36. Backup Plan – Bailey Zimmerman/Luke Combs (6.9/10)

Previous listen:

Luke brings his deeper and rougher side to match Bailey on the country-rock song.

Added:

Still had the same experience, a country song with a rock edge that tries for a deeper sound but just ends up fitting like the usual American country radio songs.

25. Burning Blue – Mariah The Scientist (6/10)

I wasn't even aware of the song or the artist until this charted. I think 'Burning Blue' has some really interesting production choices, such as the contemporary R&B mixed with an effect that sounds like an alternative take on the genre, especially with the vocal effects. But I think this sadly feels like a poor attempt to create a nostalgic-sounding song; still not bad though.

RE-ENTRIES:

99. The Days – Chrystal
[One of the worst things to chart all year.]

70. Hands Of Time – Eric Church
[What caused this huge spike?]

64. Por Esos Ojos – Fuerza Regida
[Forgotten it.]

NOTEABLE CHANGES:

Songs that climbed 10 spots or more:

77. Like Him – Tyler, The Creator/Lola Young (Up 12)
58. Happen To Me – Russell Dickinson (Up 13)
44. Undressed – Sombr (Up 12)

Songs that fell 10 spots or more:

98. Steve's Lava Chicken – Jack Black (Down 10)
96. BMF - SZA (Down 14)

72. Texas – Blake Shelton (Down 11)
71. Money On Money – Young Thug/Future (Down 32)
