Robbie Williams has gone straight in at Number 1 with his new album The Heavy Entertainment Show.Robbie's eleventh studio album notched up 67,000 combined sales to reach the top - the 12th of his career to do so. Ten of Robbie's 11 studio records have reached the Official Albums Chart top spot, in addition to his two greatest hits collections. View Robbie Williams' complete UK singles and albums chart history here.
"I’m chuffed that this album is Number 1 and I’m humbled by these amazing statistics and facts," explained Robbie to OfficialCharts.com. "Thank you to the wonderful, wonderful team at Sony. I’m as proud of this album as much as any other, and hope that the fans enjoy it as much as I loved making it... this is for the friendlies. I’m very excited to be taking The Heavy Entertainment show on tour next year."

Robbie's 12 chart toppers as a solo artist push him past David Bowie as the British solo artist with the most Number 1 albums on the UK's Official Albums Chart. This milestone ties Robbie with Madonna, who also has a dozen chart toppers to her name. Elvis Presley is the only solo artist with more Number 1 albums; he claimed his 13th just two weeks ago.
The Heavy Entertainment Show's performance also makes the album 2016's fourth fastest-selling behind David Bowie's Blackstar, Drake's Views and Beyoncé's Lemonade.

[h=4]New entries and high climbers[/h]Michael Ball & Alfie Boe score their first Top 3 album as a duo, with Together landing at Number 2. The duo have now had 11 Top 10 albums between them, with Together marking Alfie's highest ever chart entry. Also new in this week's Top 5 are Bon Jovi, who score their 16th Top 10 album with This House Is Not For Sale. Look back on Bon Jovi's back catalogue of chart hits.
Michael Buble's Christmas re-enters the Top 10 this week, up 9 places to Number 7, while new entry Alicia Keys bows at Number 21 with Here, her seventh Top 40 album.
Queen's collection of first-ever radio recordings On Air finishes the week at Number 25, and finally, Russell Watson's True Stories completes the new entries at Number 30.

thought Metallica and Bruno would hit our chart this week
I thought wrong

on what did hit:

Cohen's Hallelujah as a single and his compilation on the album side
woo-hoo

surprised to see Quest at #1
guess they were bigger than I thought
album is not on YouTube or I would have spun it

got the Sting in my head this morning

wth are these Grateful Dead albums that always come out?

anyone know anything about the Bowie or PF sets that come in?

old and new Christmas albums all over

and most important
why does Amy Winehouse show up on the chart
the day after I listen to it
I didn't buy it, I just listened to it
are the charts tied to what I listen to in my home
spooky stuff
