Music Head Wrote:off topic a little, but what do you Mac fans think of his work with that Firemen gang? Is that the right name?
what was the story on that?
heard a few tracks that I thought were terrible.
was it just one album?
from memory there were two Fireman albums, the first one has been deleted...many people didnt know Macca was involved with that one thus it didnt sell, and i have never heard it.
the second one which was released 15-18 months ago, i got it, a couple of nice tracks on it, but the majority are "crap"...but hey, gotta admire Macca for trying different things, even this late in his career.....after all, he could have just sat back and counted his millions and live off his past glories for the last 40 years!
the first Fireman one is the only official Macca release that i do not have...Corey has it, maybe i should borrow it from him and transfer to ipod?!?

Overall I thought the third Fireman album - Electric Arguments, was pretty decent.

I actually enjoyed the Chaos and Creation in the Backyard album - tracks Jenny Wren and English Tea were very reminiscent of his work as a Beatle ! However there was one song on that album toward the end I think where he uses the adjective VERY about ten times in a row in front of SORRY !!!...lol...now that was horrible ...how did that ever get recorded !!!...lol

It has success in the UK of course (number 3), US, Canada, Nederlands, France, Germany and the Scandinavian countries. Paul hasn't had major success since the 90s with his solo releases. He seems to be focusing more and more on his classical works of which I am unfamiliar with.
CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:actually debuted here at #25 and moved up to #15 last week, as i recall this is his highest charting album here since probably "off the ground" back in the 1990s, and that one only sold in quantities because of his "new world tour" at the time...
unfortunately he hasnt had much chart success here since probably his "pipes of peace"(1983) album and then the "no more lonely nights" single in 1984., as i recall, "my brave face" and "this one" from the FLowers In the Dirt album got a lot of airplay but just didnt sell....
