I just recently fell in love with Beth Hart, her style really suits me
Also I´ve been listening to Joan Osborne for quite some time. Though I´m not sure whether she´s blues, but sort of mixture of it for sure is a dutch singer Anouk, in my opinion she´s brilliant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwAa3_rkZ6Ualso Amy Winehouse is awesome, but more jazzy-ish

Over the last few years I have really begun to believe that Amy Winehouse is great singer , she has great technique and has paid her dues by listening and working on the authentic sounds of her craft.
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive Oh! it wears a man down into the ground It's the strangest elation I can't describe it Oh it leaves a man weary It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )

i think you nailed it when you wrote "great technique and has paid her dues listening/working on her craft"

SteveO Wrote:I LOVE Beth,,,great choice Liv ! Welcome to the great MD ! What a great site Bro SteveO has brought us. Nearly every major and many minor players. Some omissions, sure, but it's an on-going project and somebody will cover them. I'm thinking of bringing some of those lesser-known players here and covering them but I'm sure not exclusive in this--anybody got some time and ambition? One strong suggestion--if you do a lengthy post, be sure to"Preview Post" it every 5 minutes or so or risk losing the work. I got gut-kicked yesterday on a Freddy Fender piece by ignoring my own advice--lost 2 hours work. Oh well.
