If the Garage Days EP were up there, I would have voted for that. They REALLY sounded good on that, and it definitely gets the most burn of anything in their catalog.

These guys are so much better than any other metal band. Metallica is both one of the best metal bands and, undeniably, the most commercially successful is another victory. I go for black album! That is so good. I deem (Link removed) noticed that too.

I voted for "Master Of Puppets". With the songs "Master of puppets" and "Disposable Heroes" It's hard not to really like this album. Also with tracks like "Leper Messiah" and "Orion"(one of my favorite instrumentals" don't hurt either.

I had to vote for Ride the Lightning. It may be because it was the first Metallica album I heard but I really and truly love it. Anything after And Justice for All........ and I just lost interest.

I voted Master of Puppets. Although I like all their albums. Master of Puppets was the album that got me into Metallica.

Master of Puppets, from start to finish it's amazing. Metallica is their most commercially successful, and I love it as well, but I think Master of Puppets is the quintessential album of their true identity. Amazing songs, amazing playing by all the musicians, and the fact that it's Cliff Burton's last album doesn't hurt. I'm a little surprised that ...And Justice scored so low, I thought it was more popular.

Man if And Justice for all had better sound this would be harder. Likewise, Kill em All was kickass and powerful and Ride the Lightning brought them into their own and this is probably my personal favorite, but Master, I feel, was the pinnacle of their musicianship, sound and songwriting...very dark album and definitely blacker than "Black."
