IMO

Trump could have just acted smart and professional, admitted its not great and be prepared to walk away from the job.
he could have always come back in 4yrs if Biden's America is stuffed.
he could come back as an indipendent candidate where he would beat any Republican candidate again.
he could then have a second chance at the job but he's stuffed it all up now....hes his own worst enemy (besides russia, china, mexico, antifa, blm, facebook, media, and anyone else he can think of LOL)

It does not take long for the rats to appear. Apparently Jill Biden's ex-husband is going to publish a book about their time together. He claims that Joe Biden was having an affair with her while she was still married to him. The Trumpeters are going to love this one and no doubt drag it through the papers and the media.

The thing that lost Trump the election was his own big mouth. He just does not know when to shut up. What's that old saying 'when you're in a hole - stop digging'.

By the time all the scandal and flurry has died down (if at all) and the new pres has settled into office, and prior to the next election campaign there will be around a year to get stuck into proper (or improper) governance, it seems to me – and then the time that’s left will mostly be spent undoing and redoing - going nowhere fast. In this instance thank the gods for a four-year term but it just seems a bit pointless at the end of the day. How can anyone be truly effective in the blinking of an eye? Even with a team for continuity, if there is such a thing. Yes - two consecutive terms is better, but still. All this occurred to me after watching the Attenborough movie. It’s taken him an entire dedicated lifetime to know exactly what he’s talking about and to gain perspective too. Why don’t we have leaders like that? I know it’s idealist, and I’m not saying that one party states are the answer either, but surely, someone, somewhere can come up with a form of governance that makes sense and is for the good of humanity rather than based on the transience of political parties and other factors which seem to be a magnetic drawcard for megalomaniacs? How are buffoons across the world getting to sit at the top of the heap?? Where are the wise men/women??? Are there any?? All rhetorical of course - world accord is a pipe dream. I don’t get it - think I might have dodgy political leanings, lol!!
