again... we all know Iggy Pop's huge hit "real wild child" from the 1980s but the original goes all the way back to the late 1950s courtesy of Aussie rocker Johnny O'Keefe...
heres the original...

we all know the Hank Snow version of this next song, and probalby several other versions of it as well, but "ive been everywhere" was written by an Australian in 1959 and became a huge hit for Aussie pop singer Lucky Starr sometime around 1960...
so without further ado i give you the original "ive been everywhere":

I find Mr. Pop's version rather limp--I don't believe his assertion for a minute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=def3ob2h-1s This one OTOH--she could break loose at any minute and then what? You can't know in advance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HONFeMNXW0U

...and with even less ado, here's the Hank Snow version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kGHmIZ4IUY
BTW nice try: Mr. Starr's may be the original version but here is the composer doing a different but witty song ("virgin wool" indeed): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC1aXEnVNZ4

Most think this is a Carpenters song. Nope! Wrong … the original was by a wonderful band, now obscured by the mists of time … Klaatu.
