Sufjan Stevens - Michigan

Recommended on here a long time ago by JonG, this is one of what was intended to be a series of 50 albums celebrating each of the US states.

This one is a gentle series of vignettes inspired by or based on the state of Michigan, strangely enough.

The project appears to have stalled somewhat, so it could appear to the more cynical that it was, in fact, a bit of a marketing ploy...

The guy definitely has a lot of talent though, and this is a strong album.
