In your opinion, what is the heaviest song ever?

I believe that song was inspired by Tony waking up in bed, while the band was staying in a castle or some such, and saw a black thing looming over the end of the bed.

listen to that, uncanny. Ear-splitting walls of feedback, so easy to get lost in

If we're strictly discusing metal, I think it's proably something by Sadus or Death

"C.U.M." by Controlled Bleeding, off The Drowning. The track before ("Any Questions?") is the only beat-driven track on the album, and it starts off very heavy and gets heavier, and when you least expect it, the track changes into "C.U.M", and it's a ginormous slab of heavy guitar sound, bigger than any I've ever heard. Lou Reed's overrated example sounds polite in comparison. The spectrum analyser pegged, and you could subtract all signal from any frequency and the sound wouldn't change nor would the spectrum change.

Opeth - Deliverance 13:30 mins of hard hitting metal epic!
I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music

probably the live version of enter sandman by metallica (which was on the ep / cd nothing else matters)

It would go something like this.
Heaviest Black Metal - Tie between Emperor - In the Nightside eclipse and Burzum - Filosofem
Heaviest Death Metal - Death - Human
Heaviest Doom Metal Tie between - Ahab - Call of the wretched sea and Sleep - Sleep's Holy Mountain.
I can't guess for thrash as I haven't listened in a while and I can't guess for power because I haven't got enough of that.
And of course I'm talking about albums.
