That all sounds a bit Conspiracy Theory.
Why would anyone want an album cover photo to disappear ??

We better not go there. Keep your eyes open though, I really want that photo back, to stick on the wall here, that's all, no big deal, but .... it's gone. Not happy about that.

It's not going to show up.
The history rewriters are at it again, they should be strung up.
Oh well.

\Nope. That's me and me old Mum on that cover, it's gone gone gone.
Don't think this isn't possible, to gather up every copy of something, or to go back and lose a movie, or change the face of a character - IT IS.
Rancid, the music biz is worse than ever, completely phony. Don't buy anything by artists you haven't personally seen, that's some advice worth considering.

I am part of a music forum upon which the subject a folkways release has cropped up several times
The issue concerned is The Doc Watson Family Album
The current issue and all issues that I can trace show a picture on the cover of the Watson Family assembled together or three peaple on a porch ...........
However A member suggests that there is another issue which he claims has disappeared from the face of the Earth.!!!!
He says that "Thing is.... I can't find this album cover any longer.
On the cover, a young Doc is clutching his guitar while a woman and a young girl sit out in front of him. every copy Ive seen lately has a 'new' cover...an old photo, but not the original.
I saw this record in an LA record store about three years ago "
Can you shed any light on this please .....
Yours sincerely

I have gone to the record label ad to their archivist with this question and I guess they have the answer...............The album was released on another label and may well be the one in question
There answer was "There was another Doc Watson Family album released by Topic and Rounder in 1977" The best bet is it is an issue from these people !
Call off the FBI crazy !
