Good morning classes. Sorry for the slow response to get your posts live. Once the probationary period is over, that will not be a problem. Your posts will be live as soon as you submit them. Now 4:30 am where I am in the U.S. and I have just risen to a rainy day. I guess your rain made it here.
Looking forward to the pic(s).

Good afternoon sir. Big time difference between you and us. Hope you will have a wonderful day ahead. The class in fornt of me are the noisy Grade 9W's. They think they are cool and ruling the world! Ha-ha. Learners: Siyabonga, Lisa, Tenyiko, Lunga, Neo, Jedidah, Mpho, Tshegofasto, Lisedi etc. They like the following music: Deep House, House, R&B, Bakadi, Gospel, Rock, Jazz, Hip-hop etc. They are finishing this year at this school before they are enroling at one of the mainstream schools. In other words we are from Grade 0 - Grade 9 (16 years old). One thing that they can not understand is that they not at the taxi rank when they in the class. Always taking soooooooooooooooooo loud - part of their culture according to them. Bwhahahahaha. Lol ...... at least they are crazy about music and some of them wants to be a DJ one day. His name is Siyabonga. Regards and have a wonderful day!! Jaco Kingma & the gr. 9W's.

Sorry we're missing your posts, class...

First off I want to know about Siyabonga. Does he want to be a radio DJ, or do live shows ??

Secondly, most of the music you mentioned is well known, but I know nothing about Bakadi. Tell me more...

Thirdly, are most of the artists you're all listening to the usual US/UK ones that I might be familiar with, or are there plenty of South African artists that are popular ?

Finally, the class should realise they're very lucky to have a great teacher, and should be respectfully quiet at all times .

Have a great day,

Tiggi.

Good morning. Hope you have a wonderful day! Siyabonga wants to do live shows one day. Bakadi is traditional black African rythem kind of music. Most of the learners are listening to the normal UK / US stuff. Other South-African artists they are listening to is: Lira (2 girls), DJ Bonakwa, Black Coffee, DJ Tira, HHP, Big Nuz ...... that is what they are saying .... i (Jaco) never heard of them in my life! The learners sitting in front of me are: Steffani, Naledi, Tshipiso, Kagiso, Gosiame, Tulani, Shorty (kortgat), Mpho. They like the following music: Hip-hop, R&B, Deep House, Kwaito, Pop, Gospel. The girls in this Grade 7W are all very eager to sing typical African music. They are in our choir as well. Always nice to have the black voices in a choir - and all they rythem they have. The boys like playing soccer and love to eat "pap" and "vleis". Hope that you will have a wonderful day. be good! Jaco Kingma & Gr 7W's
