Beyoncé is better than Bowie, Christ Almighty!

even Bowie at his worst is better than that surely!

CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:the top radio stations both here in Australia and the UK (back then here in Perth the top pop stations were 6PM and 6IX, remember them bob_32, one is now called
96FM, the other 1080 6IX)...
Ummm, well that history is not quite right, though I dare say you and I are the only ones on this board who would care about such details...

6PM moved to the FM band and became "Hit 92.9", which I prefer to call Shit 92.9.

6IX is still an AM station under that same name.

What used to be 6KY is now MIX 94.5 fm.

96fm has always been an FM station, it was one of the very first in Perth. Except for a short period when it temporarily changed its name to MMM, it has always been 96fm.

I used to listen to 96fm faithfully, but of recent years they seem to have dropped the ball and I now find them deadly dull.

As soon as I see any list with Beyonce at No. 1, or even in the top 5, reading the list becomes merely an exercise in amusement.

I don't like Solange's music enough to buy it, but good heavens she is way better than her sister.

The only album on any of those lists that I have bought is the Radiohead one, and that situation is not likely to change.

I'll have to check my collection to verify this, but I believe I have actually only bought two albums that were released in 2016: "A Moon Shaped Pool" by Radiohead, and the Joan Baez 75th Birthday Celebration live album.

thanks for that bob_32, my memory obviously fails me at times!!!!
I usually start the week with CurtinFM (100.1FM) and switch channels each day otherwise I get the same songs on every channel constantly...
I rarely listen to TripleJ but on occasion when they play alternative music instead of the "doof doof" niose i'll keep it on...
occasionally, ABC for a change of pace, even 6PR (but rarely since Bob Maumill and Howard Sattler retired.
