Damn you're good Ruby,
That's my favourite Dire Straits song and it didn't twig with me.

I was right on two counts. The song "Monster Mash" contains the words "Monster Mash", so you cannot mark that answer as wrong... and also, as I said, it was indeed a "trick" question!

On looking up the Wikipedia entry on "Monster Mash", I discovered that the backing band, credited on the record as "The Cryptkickers", included none other than Leon Russell.

Very good Ruby 10/10 - you are just too damn clever.

No, it was not a 'trick question' at all. It was, in fact, quite straightforward.

Well it does have at least two correct answers.

The reason I looked up "Monster Mash" on Wikipedia was to make sure that that was in fact the song title. There are a few songs whose title is something other than what most people think it is. For example many people think "Jackie Wilson Said" by Van Morrison is called "I'm In Heaven When You Smile", and that Bob Dylans's "Rainy Day Women parts 12 & 35" is called "Everybody Must Get Stoned." That sort of thing.
