i went to a Sunday morning flea market this morning and picked up a couple of second hand cds and one vinyl album.

on vinyl, the original 1963 Australian edition on black RCA label.
not a great album by any means but it is an 'original' copy in almost pristine condition
so great value for $4 IMO.

also picked up 4 cds for 50c each.

      

!:  never owned the Sting one but i know and like the singles,
2:  Madonna, liked the singles but was over her by the time this came out.
3:  Take That, UK Boy-band, these guys were huge in their homeland in the 1990s having a dozen #1 hits, Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams both went on to have huge solo careers. i am not overly familiar with their material but i am a huge Williams fan.
4:  Mariah, i have her debut album and really like it, love the lead off single from this album so it is worth 50c for that alone.

PAUL WELLER  "will of the people"

a 3cd box set and 3 LP box set of b-sides and rarities from the last 20 years...
a follow up to 2001's "fly on the wall" triple box set...
initially it was going to cost double what i payed due to postage from the UK but i found a distributor from the UK that was offering free postage on ebay and guaranteed delivery by 10th December....

i had my birthday giftcards sitting in my wallet until yesterday when i decided to start using them, thus the Paul Weller purchases...
now i ordered the latest effort from Jethro Tull.
hoping to get the PW and JT in the mail from the UK over the next three to four weeks...
have several more albums to purchase as late 2022 releases are being narrowed down, so will post when ive decided which ones to purchase...

two more birthday giftcard purchases this morning.
i never used the gift cards back in july because i had heard rumours about these two artists and Weller releasing albums prior to the end of the year so i waited until those were released to use the card.
anyway,

last purchase with my Birthday gift cards....
a 3cd deluxe compilation from NG's high Flying Birds...
originally released in 2021 and i wasnt going to purchase it for $50 at the time but it came up in my Amazon feed as a recommendation earlier this morning as an early Black Friday deal for $14 including delivery so i clicked the 'buy now' button.
i have most of the tracks from his three albums but theres some tracks from stand alone "EP's" & in-studio live stacks which make the price worthwhile, and i do not really care for the bonus disc of remixed tracks but i suspect there may be one or two that i find interesting.
so anyway, $14 is value for any cd IMO.

another Christmas gift card purchase:

i had my eyes on this for a while waiting for the price to drop and it came up on my feed from Amazon this morning for 30% off so i ordered it.

this time an 11cd set of Bob Marley & The Wailers.
contains 9 studio albums and 2 live albums from his "island records" years.
albums include:
