I went to a Yard Sale this morning and picked up a box of around 40 cds from the 1990s/2000s for $30...
the catch was, its a sealed box and "what you get is what you get"...
when I got home I opened the box and I already had around 10 of the albums, so that left me with around
30 to add to my collection.
most artist I knew but several are totally new to me:

here is the list of cds I now add to my collection:

the artists im not familiar with:

The Desert Flower Project -  the desert flower project
Downsude - the land of the giants
Mike Cardy - frank conversations
The Bees - sunshine hit me
Magic Dirt - what are rock stars doing today?

the artist albums I am familiar with:

Celine Dion - all the way: a decade of song
Bryan Adams - waking up the neighbours
Green Day - insomniac
Cat Power - you are free
Prince - the very best of Prince
Oasis -  standing on the shoulders of giants  (I lost this a few years ago, not a good album but ive got it back at last!)
Garbage - version 2.0
Birds Of Tokyo - universes
Nirvana - from the banks of the muddy wishkah
Hole - ask for it
Hole - celebrity skin
Gorillaz - gorillaz
Gorillaz - demon days
8 Mile (OST) - music from 8 mile
Betchadupa - sleepy days (ep)
Linda Ronstadt - greatest hits volume 2
Merril Baindridge - the garden
Susan Boyle - I dreamed a dream
Delta Goodrem - innocent eyes
Green Day - warning
Green Day nimrod
Green Day - 1,039 smoothed out slappy hours
Blur - blur

And to add to those the owner gave me six more cds that he had tried to sell but couldn't even get any offers
for, I am not familiar with this artist neither but I suspect others here might be.
from what the owner told me Gong/Mother Gong are basically the same band,Hillage was a member of
Gong and theyre a UK 1970s Prog Rock band:

Steve Hillage - "L"
Steve Hillage - fish rising
Steve Hillage - green
Gong - shamal
Gong - radio gnome invisible pt: II
Mother Gong - live 1991

so all up, around 40 cds for $30 which is a bloody good deal in anyones language, and truth be known,
I would have paid $30 for the Green Day albums alone...

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly (a fan of him since 1991 when his first big song named "Small Town Saturday Night" was released)

P.S. His 66th birthday was on the 9th of this month. Sadly a few days later, it was announced that Alzhiemer's Disease has been on his plate for a while and has gotten him to the point to where touring is no longer possible for him. I am so glad that I got to see him on October 1st of 2005. I just wish that I could tell him that I do apologize for coming across as way too overzealous that day. I was just so excited to finally see him after so many years of being too young to be allowed where most of his tour dates took place.
Listen to my most favorite singer here sometime, James Otto that is!

Aussie alt rock band called DMA's, their only two albums "hills end" and "for now"..
recommendations from Paul, the manager at the local cd store...
band were discovered by Liam Gallagher whilst he was touring here with Beady Eye several
years ago and Paul thought I would really like them so I took the gamble...

CHILDISH GAMBINO "awaken, my love!"
I don't much about this guy but he reminds me of Lenny Kravitz and Rick James,
his latest album from last year...

As mentioned before - Andy Jackson's '73 Days at Sea' & 'Signal to Noise' - both very different and superbly recorded.
'The purpose of life is a life of purpose' - Athena Orchard.
