Sports Talk

Though most certainly not a KY resident and only age 7 in '92, I still recall bits of that season watching from Mass. with my parents (neither with any KY ties, but simply smart sports fans) telling me what a remarkable thing Rick had achieved with that special group of boys so soon after NCAA sanctions. I cried myself to sleep that fateful night against Duke; but, having just watched "I Hate Laettner" on ESPN, I can honestly say, 'all is forgiven'. We lose as a species - not to mention individuals - when, in any context, we assess others not on merit or empathy for their trials, but sweeping judgments that accommodate our own narrow perception of the world. Honestly, I feel like a weight's been lifted....kudos to ESPN for yet another phenomenal installment in this uniformly brilliant series AND let's get the 2015 NCAA party started!/peace, K
