Charlie Ventura Tenor sax Had middling success with his own big band but with smaller groups and as a sideman with others, he was special. Employed the vocal duo Jackie Cain & Roy Kral for a long time. Called it "Bop for the People" though he was really a swing player. Quite the showman in concert and club.
