I love this guy. A lot more albums than I thought he had, and 2 with George Jones. Passed away in 2006 at the age of 66. Popular in the mid-60's
with 4 top 10 hits here, the highest being #2 with Only Love Can Break A Heart. Only 10 tunes on this collection but I love all of them except
the terrible Mecca track. Gene probably had his biggest hits as a writer penning He's A Rebel by the Crystals and Hello Mary Lou for Ricky
Nelson. Surprised to see the guy is in the HOF. Not sure if his record is deserving but good for him.
