Still with Dan Fogelberg - this time his beautiful Nether Lands album; something of an early tour de force IMHO. A couple of collaborators who appear on this one are Don Henley and Joe Walsh (who was actually pivotal in getting Danâs music out there) â in fact all the Eagles were supporters at one time or another. Many musical luminaries such as Joni Mitchell, Emmylou, Russ Kunkel and David Lindley contributed to some of his other work, as did Jackson Browne who held DF in high regard. Thatâs good enough for me!
Apart from being able to play virtually any instrument, he had an impressive vocal range which I hadnât really appreciated up to now. Nether Lands is best listened to in its entirety, but hereâs an extract anyway â
