^^^^In the Eye of the Storm is fabulous!
And the concert in Paris was absolutely brilliant â the roadies mustâve worked their butts off carting all those instruments around! Hard labour in those days lol! It was an incredible musical coup IMHO despite marking the beginning of the end for the original line-up â takes remarkable talent (and confidence) to pull that off and you can just see that they know exactly what theyâre doing â they HAD to, technology being limited at the time.
Both Davies and Hodgson are geniuses in their own right, and John Helliwell is not far behind. Bob Siebenberg doesnât get mentioned very often, but he was also part of that original core that did such amazing things. Davies provided a great foil for the potentially whiny Hodgson and itâs a shame it all came crashing down, but hey â thatâs life.
Crime of the Century is almost beyond reproach, in my view and Some Things Never Change is masterfully put together.
