About the hatred built up over the years between Lyndon Johnson and Robert Kennedy. Starts with LBJ's rise to power in the Senate and the runup to the 1960 presidential election, when Lyndon was not Bobby's choice for VP. That was when the 2 men started to despise each other. Over the years the tempers flare. When LBJ ascended to the throne Bobby set out to unseat him. Pretty sure he would have accomplished that had events not done him in. He never got the chance to prove it, LBJ quit and Bobby bit the dust. I think Lyndon resigned because he knew he would be humiliated at the polls. The bitterness lasted till the end, as Lyndon wanted to deny the family's request that Bobby be laid to rest at Arlington National.
