Exodus is the obvious choice for me. May not be the connoiseur's choice, but I think it's an excellent collection of songs.
Also have a soft spot for Soul Rebels, which is a very early Scratch production (don't know if any of this is on African herbsman). Over-powering bass, and raw talent.
So, I've no preference for Wailers / Post-Wailers material...
I also love Tosh's solo work, especially his live-in-the-US release Captured Live (although for some reason this release suffers from poor reviews).
