JOHNNY CASH "out among the stars"
a collection of tracks recorded between 1981 and 1984ish.
all songs were previously unreleased, some unfinished until
they were finished last year(ie:guitar solos, bits of slide guitar etc).
the songs arent too bad, theres a couple of duets with wife June,
a duet with Waylon, a couple of spiritual ones, a couple of light-
hearted tracks, but all remain firmly in the Cash mould.
this album is not essential listening by any means but fans will
get their money's worth from it,casual listens will probably be curious
ie: the ones who grew up on the "american" albums of the 1990s and
early 2000's.
it does make the pass mark with me, and who on the forum would
really expect me to think otherwise.
