Is the Royal Conservatory helpful or harmful to musicalcultureandstudent development?

The conservatories, Julliard or Berkley music schools can only help a student! They keep talented young musicians interested in classical and jazz as well as music composition. I believe they encourage creativity or at least act as a catalyst for the student to begin to compose original material!
