Oh they were atrocious! For that matter so was Ashlee Simpson, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and the rest of them. Without their recorded tracks, they are no better than William Hung. Even with their the recorded tracks, the music still blows.
But it says something about the state of music and the state of our culture and ultimately about us that this has become a norm. When Big Joe Turner sang at Carnegie Hall, he didn't even use a mic at all! I can imagine what he would say about all this lip-syncing going on now. If we don't demand integrity from people whether they are singers or bankers or athletes or politicians then we are not going to get it and what does that teach our children and their children of our future society?
