MEAT LOAF "couldn't have said it better" cd, 2003
album chart placings: #85 US, #28 AU, #4 UK
singles chart placings:
"couldnt have said it better"...#31 UK.
"man of steel"......................#31 UK.
i guess the UK was still in love with Meat Loaf as this was the only place his album made the top10 or any singles charted...
album made platinum status out there also...
Meat's nineth studio set, and it is actually quite good IMO...
at least half the tracks were written by the guys from Motley Crue but they still have a typical MEat Loaf sound...
lots of power ballads on here, surprisongly though Meat covers a Bob Dylan track..."forever young", love Dylan's version, but this one is the worst track on the album IMO purely because The Loaf tries to make it his own...sorry, but Dylan owns everything he records!
had it not been for the two i dont like this one would possibly have got a love rating, and if not, would surely have come close...
probably my fourth favourite Meatloaf album and one that is very underrated and escaped the record buyers ears back in the day!
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
