Wow I love those clips, Bell! The Bach cello piece and the song are very familiar, of course! Bach's prelude is on a TV commercial here..can't recall the ad just the music!
Yo Yo the master of the cello...such a beautiful and emotional performance! I know an 18 year old Korean music student. He has played the cello since he was six and I asked him the other day what do you want to take at university. He quickly replied to his parents and myself ...MUSIC! I said you'll have to go to Julliard or Berklee! His parents laughed and said We have talked about that!!! I was thrilled to see someone so young wanting to pursue a career in classical music!
I have several examples....Heart's cover of Stairway to Heaven and K.D. Lang's rendition of Hallelujah(Leonard Cohen) not Handel..ha ha ...you can visit them on youtube as I have posted them more than once on MD!
Here's one I like: It shows that the gorgeous songs of The Beatles live on with today's youth!
