Yes drummer, replacing Bill Bruford. Has played with many of the greats. His first regular gig
(keyboard) was with Ginger Bakers Airforce, then Joe Cocker. Then John Lennon recruited him for
the Plastic Ono Bands Live Peace In Toronto show, then Lennon's Imagine album. Bill Bruford had
grown weary of the direction the music of Yes was taking, and made the decision to split after
the Close To The Edge album, opening the door for Alan, who had become friends with Jon
Anderson. This is Alans only listed solo album. Of cource it's not really a solo album. Another
of those misused terms in music. All of the other Yes members were doing their solo albums at
the time so I guess Alan felt like he must do the same. He shouldn't have. This is a bad album
for me. Best track is the one where Anderson and Howe guested. Only two other tracks even get a
like score, and then there are the two instrumentals. Alan does get credit for vocals here but
I'm not sure on which tracks as there is an obvious different vocalist between tracks 1 and 2. Sounds
like a black dude on the first one.
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM
