BUDDY GUY "skin deep" cd,2008
another of my purchaese last year....
got this one after i saw a spritely 76yo buddy perform at one of our festivals last summer...
man this guy can rock...Clapton describes him as 'the greatest blues player ever', thats a big deal coming from him!
this one was recorded when Buddy was a much younger 72....
im not really into 'the blues' much but this guy pushes all the right buttons for me, i love him!
best track here for me is the only non blues sounding track on the album, but best of track could have been one of about four or five(with two others of those great ones posted also)...
love this one as much as the other one i own,and he was 75 when he recorded that one also...
just one thought keeps going over in my head when i hear any old guy still rocking...who the heck is going to be doing that out of the current bunch of bands out there now?
unfortunately for me i really cant think of any except maybe Jack White in one form or another
great album by one of rock musics most influential yet underrated talents!
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
