I'm on a bit of a Neil Young run at the moment .....his album A Treasure with the International Harvesters is fantastic!!!!!! All the songs are tremendous!!!!!..Southern Pacific is a standout!
Also gave a listen to Simon & Garfunkel's Bookends album (surprised to hear a lot of sound effects)!...did Sgt.Pepper unleash orchestrations and sound effects in rock music? Gorgeous harmonies and nice acoustic guitar from these guys. Old Friends, Fakin' It, Mrs. Robinson, Hazy Shade of Winter, At the Zoo and America are standouts and the album is timeless!
Tegan and Sara's Heartthrob album is a good pop album ...should put them in the limelight! Good songs with a good melodies and the twins' voices never sounded better!
and The Last Waltz - The Band, with guest artists Bob Dylan. Neil Young(Helpless), Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell, to name a few. Not a bad concert but way too long ...6 CDs...lol

The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
