SEASICK STEVE "i started out with nothin' & i still got most of it left" cd,2008.
Steve's third album, saw him on "later...with jools" in that year and was impressed with his style so i bought the album...
Steve started off by getting plucked off the streets where he lived as a hobo/busker apparently when some music executive heard him playing his own brand of "folk/blues" and the rest is history...
mainly blues things happening here on this one, mostly good, nothing great and only a couple of dud tracks herewithin and they are the last three, i guess the album wore a bit thin by that time(well, thats all i can put it down to anyway!)
great little story teller IMO which suits the folk/blues style immensely, look, not a great vocalist by any means but has the 'feel' for it, and to cap it off "just like a king" was co-written with Nick Cave and Grinderman play on the track with Cave supplying duet vocals also.
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
