this one escaped me also...has a song called Canadee-i-o..????....interesting ..I wonder if it's a put down or a limerick of some kind?...considering when he appeared here twice his shows were only an hour long ?????...I didn't go when he came the secong time for an hour (didn't go the first time) but I was going to go to the second one but reviews were bad and he didn't do my Dylan fav - Knockin' on Heaven's Door so I really would have been perturbed for shelling out a hundred bucks or so!
I know a lot of people wouldn't care about an hour long show...just to see Dylan would be a thrill in its" self...but not for me ...having said that ...such a Music Icon..over 55 years of tremendous songwriting..an inspiration to all...his voice has changed a bit over the past few years but hey it's Bob Dylan..unique voice and a unique musician to say the least!
As for Froggie Went a Courtin' ..reminiscent of the old pre-depression era ...campfire songs for the hobos...Leon Redbone had a modest career in the 70/80s singing these type of ditties...I have the album as well as MH I think..I like the sound..basic and different at the same time.

CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:i have never even heard of this one by Dylan, but i have heard his version of "froggie" before, very forgetable IMO...
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
