Jerome Wrote:They broacast Mumford & Sons 'Live at Red Rocks' on television last night. Not impressed. Cannot understand how they got so big. More hype than anything else. Most of the group bouncing around all the time but not actually playing very much on their respective instruments. Lead singer does not impress me at all. It seemed to be all about 'let's convince the audience we are having a good time and then they'll think they are having a good time'. Very pedestrian. That keyboard player just irritates me. He should have been a ballerina instead.
ive never seen a broadcast of Mumfords or even seen them live so i cant really comment on their live performances, which, on your comments Jerome, i would have to say these guys are purely a studio band..
i have both of their albums, both of which i like a lot, but i did post somewhere here recently that if their next album hasnt got more variation in style or sound that i wont be buying it.
it also took me a good 12-15months to actually say that i like those guys, they just didnt gel with me at all initially...probably should have stuck with my forst impressions in hindsight!
