Another Leonard Cohen lover, MH ! It took me three or four listens to get Old Ideas...now I like it. I really loved the Avett Brothers The Carpenter !!!!! It warranted several continual plays ..just something about that album????
As for the Mumfords Babel...a good album ...the saviour for me was the phenomenal single I Will Wait!

PennyLane Wrote:After reading this I decided to start thinking about my favorite albums of this year. I am in the midst of compiling a list and here is just what I have so far.
1. Leonard Cohen - Old Ideas
2. Bob Dylan- Tempest
3. Dr.John - Locked Down
4. [B]Justin Townes Earle- Nothingâs Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now
5. Anais Mitchell- Young Man in America
6. Alabama Shakes - Boys & Girls
7. Mumford & Sons- Babel-- I was actually not sure about this one. I think it is a great album, I just wasn't sure if it was the best of the best, but I decided to include it anyways.
