Bat Chain Puller has been in the Zappa Family Trust's possession and was originally intended to be released instead of Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller), so it is technically a reissue, but there are a few new songs on it that weren't on the original. Even for those few songs, I'd say that it's up there for this year for sure.
The Frank Ocean album is an R&B album from one of the members of OFWGTA. The beats are decent and considering the hip-hop releases this year (Aesop Rock, El-P, Death Grips, Kendrick Lamar, etc.) it is fairly mediocre, but I think it deserves something in this years Grammies, even if I'm not too big of a fan. I find his voice very annoying, but otherwise, the production is fantastic. If it had a different emcee it would be a great album, but Ocean ruins it IMO.
