A gift from a mate. Was afraid this might be a bit too electronic for me. It is in parts but not enough to bring it down. There are those dance remixes at the end which murder the originals for me. Other than those, only one track I didn't like. Four that I love with the track Love taking my best. Yes I love Pumped Up Kicks, but the grandkids burnt me out on that. Funny how kids latch onto songs. These kids are 4 and 8 and will just play that song over and over, dancing all around. In that song where they say "faster than my bullet", Garrett (the 4 year old) says they are saying "faster than my brother". Also can't believe in the video for that song that airs on VH1, they edit out the words gun and bullet. Give me a break people. The follow up single of Don't Stop took a while, but I grew to love it also, but I hate the video. Those were the only two tracks I had heard prior to spinning this. The rest holds up better than expected. I guess the album has run its course now, and a follow up to equal it will be a hard task. Pumped Up Kicks peaked at #3 here and the album made #8. The Aussies gave it a #1. Also got a grammy nomination for both album and single. Score here would have come out better without the remixes. They included 'em so I gotta count 'em.
