Now we're cooking with gas !! This is a quantum leap forward in comparison with the previous three.
All of a sudden The Kinks blossomed into what I'd recognise as being their trademark sound. Ray hit his stride with a collection of songs exhibiting what would become his favoured songwriting style, with humour, observation, and a peculiarly English sensibility that by & large he's still using to this day.
Cracking album.
