Originally a 2-disc ConcertLive recording - where they record at a gig, then burn the recording to CDs, before flogging the "album" at the end of the show - the demand for which led to it seeing a full-blown release.
Recorded at the Brixton Academy in, strangely enough, 2009.
PiL's first live outing in 17 years, and former members Lu Edmonds & Bruce Smith are on board with Johnnie, along with newcomer Scott Firth. Every dark corner of the band's history is explored, and this incarnation do the songs ample justice.
There was a recent discussion about tampering with live tapes post-recording, and this one was recorded direct from the soundboard with no overdubbing or subsequent mixing. It sounds amazingly good.
Great live album.
Not scored by RoviMusic.
