I totally disagree, especially with the definiton of "wannabe-metal-shit". If you really think thrash-grindcore-etc is "the only tr00 metal" I think you have a verry narrow view on metal.
I'm not saying I like Nightwish, but I just generally disagree on a very narrow definiton of metal. For example, power metal is in my opinion much closer to the "early" definitons of metal than doom metal.
And grindcore - yack. I really like to be able to hear the lyrics. But perhaps I am oldfashioned... :
