I didn't really enjoy the Middle Cyclone album because of the reasons you cited, Tiggi ! This one was much better taking Neko in a different direction...less commercial orientated I think .

Her fifth, from 2006.

Thought at first that this would be another of those stereotypical Folky, Countryish singer-songwriter albums, but there's something appealing about the melodic delivery of her songs. She sounds a bit like Natalie Merchant, but is perhaps a bit Rockier in her approach.

Definite Buy-List material.
