A gift from the crazy man. Packaged as a 3 cd set but it is 3 different studio albums so I will listen and review in different sittings. Never heard of this Aussie band but they've been around since the 80's and still kickin', so they must be doing something right. The only remaining member from the original lineup is vocalist Joe Camilieri so it must not have been all smooth sailing. Looks like they had some Australian hits back in the early days and I guess they're still riding that wave. Started as a bar band doing covers and that's what this debut album is. Nothing shows as charting from here, but What A Difference A Day Makes was released as a single. Almost made my worst. That goes to the instrumental Blow Jow Blow, which I guess is an original in name only. Certainly not original sounding. Favorite is a Fats Domino cover for which there is no clip. Nice cover of Brown Eyed Girl and the accordian gives it a special flavor. Didn't need the live version added as the last track. A few decent covers, a few bad covers, but the fact that it's covers makes me pass on it. Looking forward to some original material on those other 2 albums though. Band has a good sound with Joe a good vocalist.
