Bit of a reach for me on this one, as I haven't been a big fan for years, but once again that $5 bin beckoned me. Fourteenth album for the band, and it is a covers album of some blues classics, with one original thrown in. Some of the blues was unknown by me and leaned more towards rock than blues, which made them better than expected. Sonny Williamson's Eyesight To The Blind was the lone standout for me and 3 tracks were total bombs, making the album barely squeak by. If I had heard this before buying, I probably would not have. Perry gets vocals on Back Back Train, making it my worst. Aerosmith without Tyler is like sex without climax. Amazed Tyler can still do the scream after all these years. Jack Douglas back in the producer seat. The album reached #5 and reached gold status, so the group still has a loyal fan base, although it's wearing thin, as their last 5 went platinum. Although the songs are blues, the rock takes over, to make it not much of a tribute. Those who know these songs will think they are totaly butchered I'm sure.
