On the laptop.
Swedish metallers' seventh album, released in 2003.
On SteveO's recommendation I tried out an Opeth album a while back, and was put off by grunty growly vocals. Steve urged me to persevere, and try this one in particular.
This is much better for me, as there aren't any grunty growls, plus the music certainly isn't Metal. It's a rather acoustic affair, but certainly not solely, and since Steven Wilson - of Porcupine Tree fame - produced this, it's no surprise that it has a bit of a PT sound about it.
Good album, onto the Buy List. Cheers, Steve...
AllMusic 4/5 stars.
