My first metal band was Disturbed.

David Draiman's voice was so unique that I was perplexed at first. Even when he's nearly growling in some particular songs, his voice is still clear enough to understand, and the lyrics in their songs are so meaningful and in depth; they have reason and purpose behind them. And also, what you see is what you get with Disturbed, and they don't care what other people think. They don't exactly live to please everybody else in the world.

Plus, their songs are just so damn catchy!
