I am always interested in this point ......................
It seems that things we take for granted may not be...............
When one looks at MD and see the stories that occur on it and the people involved, one begins to see that we all share a difference in the perception of who is a great or who is famous or known in certain musical fields.........
It is always interesting to do some background work on some of the people who are mentioned on MD and to find that whilst some members might regard this person as a bedrock of a particular genre.................others may be only vaguely antiquated.
Do we all share a core of people who are at the centre of the various branches of popular music or are we actually less united in this view than we believe?

Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )
