A site I like a lot, PopMatters, released their best-of lists last week. It includes lists for about a dozen genres as well as an overall list of the top 70 albums. Here are the top 10.
10) Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty
9) Gogol Bordello - Trans-Continental Hustle
8) Titus Andronicus - The Monitor
7) Beach House - Teen Dream
6) LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening
5) Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
4) Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
3) Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma
2) The National - High Violet
1) Janelle Monáe - The ArchAndroid
I have four albums from that list, but only one is definitely making my top 10. Another has a slight chance, but it's not likely.
