Tiggi Wrote:^ The only Mike Scott solo album I have (Bring 'em All in) is a much gentler, more reflective album than This is The Sea. It's certainly worth checking out.
My favourite of the other Waterboys releases is Fisherman's Blues. It's Folkier than TITS, but I think I actually prefer it...
If memory serves, The Whole of The Moon was chiefly written by Karl Wallinger, who left the band before the album was released. He started his own project called World Party. Their first release - Goodbye Jumbo - is very different to the Waterboys, but is also very good. It's one of those albums where little snippets of numerous influences are littered throughout the record without it sounding derivative.
Thanks for the info Tiggi
Seems like I've heard Fishermans Blues.
Maybe I do have it. lol.
