England/Ireland/Scotland band formed in 1983. Members were initially from those countries. Group dissolved in 1993, while lead man Mike Scott pursued a solo career. Not sure how that fared, but they reformed in 2000 and are still a unit. This is their third album and the only one I own, I think. Not sure why. I like it, a lot. They just slipped by me then, like the Monkeys are now. As far as the song The Whole Of The Moon, I will say, under the right conditions, music doesn't get any better than this. This song is what music was created for. I listened to this song 5 times, and heard something new each time. The video cleared up a lot. Sucks though because it cuts off where on the record it goes on for another 30 seconds with Scott freaking out, making weird sounds. Pretty cool. This album made it to #37 in the U.K. and never came close in the states. As Iota would say, IMBECILES!
